Pete offers a number of alternative fishing trips, catering for the beginner or the fanatical billfish fishermen, please contact us for prices:

Short day

This takes six and a half hours, starting at 6:30am to 1:00pm. This is perfect for the beginner or early season when the fishing is just outside the Watamu  harbor. A short day can always be extended while you are at sea if everybody is enjoying it or the fishing is too good to leave as it often is in the afternoon.

Long Day

This takes ten hours, starting at 6:30am to 4:30pm. Due to the distance to travel from Watamu you will need to book a long day if you want to fish for sailfish off Malindi or head out into the deep water looking for marlin later in the season. If you are a serious fisherman you'll want to go for a long day as this gives you the best chance of being out there when the fish come up and start to take.

Night trip

This is for the serious fisherman, you leave at 10:00am on the first day. Fish overnight for broadbill swordfish then return to Watamu on the second day at 4:00pm. These are the trips when you have a great chance at grand slams, super grand slams or the fabled fantasy slam.

Fishing Safari

These again are probably for the serious angler, although this can be a great way to travel up and Kiwayudown the Kenyan coast seeing new ports in different areas.

Safaris are tailor made for each individual trip depending on how long the trip is, where you are going to stay and how many anglers are involved. Contact us with your particular requirements and we will arrange it.

A Basic Fishing Itinerary

Meet evening before if possible to discuss what you want to fish for.  We then meet at Ocean Sports Hotel between 6 and 6.30am.  Board boats 6.30am and depart for the fishing area depending on what you are fishing for. We provide a cool box of assorted soft drinks, mineral water and beers. Clients are requested to bring their own packed lunches as we do not provide these.  If a good eating fish is caught we will cook this on board for you. We also recommend you bring suntan lotion, a hat and clothing that will protect you from the sun.

Payment terms and conditions

50% deposit when booking is made to confirm the booking and the balance to be paid on arrival before charter.

Hope to see you over here soon, tight lines.
